OmAway Yoga was launched in 2014. The plan was to provide a yoga vacation for a fair price to beautiful places in the world. We have found what was first envisioned as a vacation has become so much more. Amazing things happen when a group of people with open hearts travel to awe-inspiring places together.
Our vacations have become astonishingly authentic retreats where you will relax, eat healthy, embrace your yoga, rejuvenate and truly appreciate the beauty and marvels before you. OmAway’s retreats are designed to hold the space for you to rediscover your true self.

Midge Kahn, founder of OmAway, has enjoyed yoga for over twenty years and is a certified RYT200 yoga teacher with the Pranatton School of Yoga.. Her interest in teaching lies with yoga therapy, and she has pursued additional training with Dr. Timothy McCall and Gary Kraftsow. She is a member of the Shri Service Core of yoga teachers in Rhode Island, teaching people with special needs. She is currently receiving certification with Theresa Conroy for Yoga for Parkinson's Disease . Midge manages all the arrangements for the retreats and teaches vinyasa classes. She loves adventures, and is a life long sailor and skier. She is passionate about yoga, traveling and enjoying getting to know new people.

To know Paula is to know what it is to truly have a mentor. She has been a practicing yogi since 1997 and an inspiration to everyone she knows. After a successful career mentoring people in the tech industry it was the perfect transition to bring her kind heart and nurturing spirit to yoga. She studied for her 200 hour accreditation with Mary Breuer of the Santosha School of Yoga and gained her 500 hour accreditation with the Kripalu School of Yoga. She is also certified in Yoga of the Heart for breast cancer survivors and heart patients with additional study of breast cancer with Camilla Kitreill of Exclusive Yoga. She teaches with each individual in mind. Her students rave that Paula makes them feel, "more fit, energetic and happier". Paula has traveled often with OmAway and is currently teaching at Lotus Pond in Tampa Florida.
Anna is a certified yoga instructor and meditation guide. She has been a meditation practitioner for over 40 years.
She is a trained Meditation Guide in the Samatha Buddhist tradition. Samatha teaches us to ground to our basic goodness. She teaches techniques to help you practice on your own.
“I hope participants come away with a profound experience of what a meditation practice can bring them. The word meditation means concentrated focus, getting used to something, and in this case, becoming familiar with the breath.”
She adds, “Meditation to me, means an experience of peace. Peace is within each and every one of us.”
